Poston Chronicle Calendar, 1944.
Compiled and illustrated by Noboru Yamakoshi, the calendar’s monthly facts are subversive in their irony. The headline for October reads, “To every three babies born, one death has occurred in Poston” and for February, “More than two-third of the population of Poston are American-born—citizens of the United States. Nearly 600 sons of Poston are in the U.S. Army.”
