Yonekazu Satoda took numerous photographs to document his time at the Jerome War Relocation Center and continued to take photographs throughout his subsequent military service. In 1945, the United States Army drafted Satoda. He served in Japan from 1946 -1948 as a first lieutenant and military intelligence officer in Tokyo and Hokkaido, Japan.
